Brown Bag Lunch-Bruce Johnson at The Marshall County Museum

Join us on Friday October 12, 2018 from 12-1 p.m. at the Marshall County Museum for the Brown Bag Lunch Event-

- "The Belle Gunness Murder Mystery" - Bruce Johnson, president of the La Porte County Historical Society, will present a short 40-minute documentary that was released in 2015, The Gunness Mystery, detailing the life of one of the most prolific female serial killers in history, Belle Gunness.  In the late 1800s, she and her foster children moved to a farm in La Porte, Indiana.  After the loss of her husband, Belle ran a series of want ads promising a bright future as a partner on her farm.  Those who came to the farm to answer the ad were never seen again!   Bruce will share his expertise and extensive research on the case, as well as his contributions to making the film about this historic tragedy that occurred just down the road!
