All American Welding Supply Inc.
15692 W. Lincoln Hwy., Plymouth; 574-936-6231; www.all-amer.com
All American Welding Supply celebrates their 10th year of operation in April. The business opened in April 1995 by Rich and Karen Hersick, who after many years in the business working for a large corporation, decided to start up their own business. They purchased the building and property located at 15692 West Lincoln Hwy., renovated the building to include a showroom and opened the facility to supply gases and welding supplies. The following year they installed bulk storage tanks and began filling and supplying medical gases. In 1998 the business was expanded to include on-site cryogenic tempering which is a process where metals are slowly cooled to -300 degrees and then heated. This process toughens the metals to increase the useful life significantly. While originally used for the tooling industry, the usage has grown to include sports (racing industry, gun barrels, golf clubs & balls) and musical instruments. All American is a family owned business, but has close affiliations with major industry leaders BOC Gases and Airgas.
