EXCEL Driving Instruction has announced their Fall/Winter Schedule for 2002-2003. The new driver education sessions, consisting of 10, three hours classes will be held on Sundays at The Crossroads Academy, 1800 Jim Neu Drive. Start dates for the Plymouth classes are September 8, 29, January 5 and February 2. The cost for 30 hours of classroom teaching and 6 hours of behind the wheel training is $395. 333 East Jefferson St., Plymouth 574-936-2122 Amy E. Hill, AAI, API, AIS, has been promoted to account executive in the personnel insurance division. She will assume an increase level of new business production responsibilities. Prior to joining Gibson in 1998 as a personal insurance client service representative, Hill worked as a marketing assistant with the Trust and Investment Group at 1st Source and two year as director of group sales with the Fort Wayne Wizards baseball team. Hill is a graduate from the University of Dayton with a bachelor of arts degree in English. She also earned her certificate in general insurance and holds the accredited advisor in insurance, associate in personal insurance, and associate in insurance services designations from the Insurance Institute of America. She is also currently pursuing the chartered property casualty underwriter (CPCU) designation.
Lisa I. Kite, CIC, has been promoted to client services coordinator of the personal insurance division, where she will assume an increased level of responsibility for all aspects of client services. Prior to joining Gibson in 1998 as a personal insurance client service representative, she worked 14 years in the insurance industry with both commercial and personal lines experience. Kite holds the certified insurance counselor (CIC) designation through the National alliance for Insurance Education Research and is currently completing coursework for the certified insurance service representative (CISR) designation.
Amy I Palkovich, has been promoted to director of business development of Gibson Insurance Group, where she will focus a major portion of her time in new business development in the personal insurance division and assume complete responsibility for agency advertising, public relations and communication. Prior to joining Gibson in 1999 as a marketing assistant, she was a peer mentor for Indiana University, where she was responsible for freshman/parent/partner orientations, registration and degree requirement identification. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Indiana University, with majors in mass communications and psychology. She is also currently pursuing her certificate in general insurance from the Indiana Institute of America.
