Charity Auction - Chamber Members Give to Community The Plymouth Calendar or from the Chamber's web site (www.plychamber.org on the upper right bar) is a community calendar. If your church, not-for-profit organization, or business is planning an event, send us the details. Subject to Chamber approval, we will post these events so organizations may use this calendar as a planning tool and interested participants may see up coming events. Email your event info to plychamber@plychamber.org.This is a special invitation and a request for your support in a new charitable event the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring this season. It gives our Chamber community a way to participate in assisting our not-for-profit entities that give assistance to our community's less fortunate neighbors. This new holiday event is to raise money for three local not-for-profit agencies. All three of these agencies anticipate increased demands for their services during this winter season. These agencies are Care and Share, Red Cross food pantry and the Marshall County Neighborhood Center. All monies raised will be divided among these three agencies. Twenty-nine Chamber members have donated and decorated a combined total of 31 trees and wreaths; trees and wreaths decorated and ready to grace an office, a home or to be given as a gift. The Marshall County Historical Society / Museum has offered their facility in which to hold this event. To make the evening complete, food and beverage will be provided by Professional Caterers and Embarq. From now through December 7th, the public is invited to view these decorated donations during museum hours and to actually vote on their favorite tree and wreath by putting one dollar in the gift box tagged for each creation. The winning creations will be announced the evening of the auction on December 7th. We hope that you will plan to attend and support this charitable cause. This event starts at 5:00 P.M. Sam Goebel, RE/MAX Oak Crest Realty and Oak Crest Auctions has donated his services as our auctioneer. The trees that are auctioned off, will, as needed, be delivered to the recipient, compliments of Lowe's of Plymouth. So that we may plan the food and beverage needs for this event, please let us know that you plan to attend and call 574-936-2323. R.S.V.P.
