Holm Memorial Clinic, located at 1305 N. Center Street, is desiring to improve services to the industrial community in the Marshall County area. In addition to their present testing and rehabilitation services, they will be offering Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE). A FCE is a comprehensive, objective test of a person's ability to perform work-related tasks. FCE testing is done prior to returning to work form an injury. This assessment is also closely tied to specific job descriptions to accurately evaluate the worker's ability to perform key job functions. A standardized format is used for the basic test components and standard criteria for measuring performance. Job specific tasks are tested using equipment actually used on the job if available. Workers' compensation case manager, physicians, and /or employers are usually the primary source for referral for FCEs. For further information please call the Physical Therapy Department at the Holm Memorial Clinic. (219) 936-2333.

The Rock of Gold is Still Making its Round Have you signed up for the year 2000? Sponsored by the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce Retail Merchants, our member stores sign up to "own" this great gold structure for a one week period. During that time, that store's customers may sign a registration book. Names have been compiled from the Sprint Marshall County telephone book. For those who know that they are not listed in this phone book, there are also registration slips they may fill out. Each Monday a name is drawn from the box and compared to the registration book. If the name drawn matches with a customer's name who signed the registration book during that preceding week, that lucky individual wins a $100 Chamber Gift Certificate. If there is no match , the prize rolls over to the next week. Each Tuesday the Pilot-News will publish the drawn name and designate the new prize value. You need to register at the participating store that week in order to have a chance to be drawn, matched . . . and to WIN !
