 Michael J. Bittles, M. D. F.A.C.S. was recently inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. The College is a scientific and educational association of surgeons that was founded in 1913 to improve the quality of care of the surgical patient by setting high standards for surgical education and practice. Dr. Bittles received a medical doctorate in 1991 from Indiana University and is currently practicing at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center located in Plymouth. In 1997 Dr. Bittles attained board certification from the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Bittles has a strong professional interest in general and vascular surgery and holds membership in other professional societies, including the Indiana State Medical Association and the American Medical Association.
Treat's for Her and The Bridal Shoppe are now located at 308 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, their new location above Treat's Squire Shop. The Treat's for Her portion features ladies apparel, furnishings and coats, while The Bridal Shoppe features name brand bridal, bridesmaids and mother of the bride dresses as well as tuxedo rental. Stores' hours are: Monday – Saturday 9 – 5:30, Friday evening until 8 PM.

Not only are all the training classes available on the Internet, but they can also be accessed on a CD. A variety of software courses are included, such as Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Effective Communication, and Customer Service Skills. All Microsoft courses are certified by the Microsoft Corporation and prepare an individual for the Microsoft Office Use Specialist (MOUS) certification. This interactive computer based training for Corporate Staffing Resources employees is in partnership with NETg (National Education Training Group). With this partnership CSR's goals are to help develop and gain new skills to be competitive in today's job market.

Indiana University South Bend will hold their 17th annual Job Fair from 12:30 to 4:30 PM Friday, March 17 at the Century Center in South Bend. The Job Fair offers local businesses a timely and cost-efficient method to fill full-time, part-time, internship and summer positions. The Job Fair is free and open to all college-area students. All area residents with college degrees are also welcome to attend. The deadline for securing an employer's booth is March 1. Last year over 100 employers conducted recruitment activities.
