INTERNnet Connects Students with Employers
This program is managed by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. We emailed this information in January to those members who have given us their email addresses.
Finding interns has never been easy, until now. As a statewide resource, Indiana INTERNnet connects students and employers for internship opportunities. The FREE web-based system allows students to post resumes at www.indianaintern.net, while at the same time, employers are uploading internship offerings. Matches are made based on key words and emails are sent to each party indicating potential success.
Indiana INTERNnet Executive Director Pam Norman says "While the program was originally designed to stem Indiana's brain drain, it also operates as a tool for recruitment and low cost training as 50% of interns accept positions offered by their host companies. Partnerships with Indiana universities and employers are key to the success of this program."
In the near future is your opportunity to join educators and employers from around the state at the Live, Learn and Earn Internship Symposium on February 8 in downtown Indianapolis. The event, hosted by Indiana INTERNnet and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce will focus on industry-specific working sessions designed to result in action plans for furthering the internship movement sweeping across Indiana. Featured presenters include Indiana Entrepreneur Scott Jones, University of Indianapolis President Dr. Beverley Pitts and Dr. Carol D'Amico from Ivy Tech.
There is a $49 Investment covering internship manual and lunch.

- Indiana INTERNnet's FREE and newly published internship manual including the 'how-to's' for implementing your own internship program, and

The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. invites individuals to attend the upcoming volunteer training at its Plymouth office, 112 South Center Street, February 20, 21 and 22 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The training will focus on the hospice philosophy, communication skills, spirituality, family dynamics, patient care, bereavement, and much more. Following training, volunteers may assist patients and families with respite, transportation, laundry, errands, companionship, or bereavement, or may serve in office or clerical roles.
