January 1998 THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB of Marshall County The Boys & Girls Club of Marshall County (located at 314 E. Jefferson Street) is developing two programs which are geared toward helping young people prepare for future jobs and careers: Career Exploration: For junior high or high school underclassmen. Through this program we want members to start thinking about potential careers after high school, to learn a little about the careers that interest them, and to understand the educational and/or training requirements for those careers. Job Search Club: Planned for youth ages 15 -18 who are interested in applying for part-time jobs while they are still in school. We hope to provide guidance on how to apply, what employers look for in prospective employees, and what employers expect once someone is hired. These programs are tentatively scheduled to start in late March.
