President's Letter

As I write you for the final time as your Chamber Board President, I truly have mixed emotions. Officers for next year have been elected and new Directors have been brought up to speed. The Chamber has solid plans for 2003 and solid leadership in incoming Board President, Susie Reinholt.

I'd like to close out my two years as President with a few thoughts. First, many thanks to the Executive Committee and the Board for your positive contributions in 2002. We accomplished what we set out to do in a positive way.

Thank you to all those Board members who took an active role in committee activities. This space is too small to acknowledge all of you individually, but let me thank you collectively. Your contributions were critical.

Most important, thank you to all Chamber members. Your participation, attendance and involvement made 2002 a successful year.

Dawn, Betty, Cheri - you all do a great job in the office. Thank you for taking such pride in the quality of your work.

Good luck to Doug, as he is ready to start another successful year in January. He is an excellent leader. He has done a great job in his nine years as Executive Director - Not a bad effort for a fellow utility guy.

When my family moved back to Plymouth in 1984, I never dreamed I would have the honor of serving as your Chamber President. (Heck, I couldn't even make patrol boy at Osolo Elementary School in Elkhart!) Thank you for the honor of allowing me to serve you.

Most Sincerely,

President 2001/2002
