Chamber President's Message
From the desk of Chamber President 2005
Mike Lintner
Reflection and anticipation typically characterize this time of year. Many people, I think tend to look back and assess their accomplishments during the year just ended; while at the same time establishing goals for the year ahead. The process is really no different for your Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce. Looking back at 2005, I think there are many things we can be extremely proud of.
The retail group, under the leadership of Kay Garrison and Rich Holland, put together a very successful scavenger hunt. We received very positive feed-back from merchants and customers alike regarding this event. Obviously this is something we want to continue. The KIOSK program that you read about in the December news letter is another significant accomplishment that your Chamber staff have worked on for a long time. This program gives Chamber members, yet another way to promote their goods and services. I think this program will experience tremendous growth in the years ahead.
We had a very nice Annual meeting and we were very fortunate to have Patricia Miller, Indiana Secretary of Commerce, as our keynote speaker. The Plymouth Area Chamber's roll in the efforts that brought Medallion Cabinetry to our area, I think, is also something we can be very proud of. I truly believe that Plymouth prospers when the areas around us also prosper.
I want to thank all of the staff of the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce for their hard work and dedication. But most of all I want to thank the Chamber members for their continued support.
I wish you all the very best in 2006.
