Chamber Presidents' Messages

Chamber President 2006
Looking back on 2006, I think your chamber has had yet another successful year. Your Chamber staff and board work very hard to keep us positioned to take advantage of opportunities presented, and to create new opportunities. I think pulling the Zentis package together in record time is proof of this. While we enjoy past successes, I think the strength of the Plymouth Area Chamber is the focus on the future. Vision has served us well, and will continue to do so.
I want to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to serve as your chamber president, and for the support you have given me. I now, without a heavy heart, relinquish the gavel to Linda. I wish her the very best and hope you all have a great 2007.

Chamber President 2007
Just as UPS coined the phrase, 'What Can Brown Do for You,' the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce asks its members:
What can the Chamber do for you?
What has the Chamber done for you?
What will the Chamber do for you?
What can you do for the Chamber?
We all know it takes a village to raise a child and our community is no different. It takes everyone in the village to see our dreams fulfilled to the best of our knowledge so our children can live in a community that continues to thrive and grow in a positive way.
In the past three years as a Chamber board member, I have viewed tremendous growth not only in Plymouth but the other towns in Marshall County. One person did not and could not do this alone. This was accomplished by a well-run Chamber staff, (Doug, Dawn, Cheri, & Mary), community leaders, interested citizens, business managers and their employees, and a strong desire to succeed.
As your incoming Chamber President, I am confident that in the next five years 'this village' will be even more energized with successful businesses, industries, arts and culture, schools, and we may all take pride as we observe all our community's accomplishments.
The next time you ask yourself what, can the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce do for you, also ask yourself, what can you do for the Chamber to serve our community for our future generations? Don't just watch us grow, get involved and help us grow! |
