BUSINESS BRIEFS

Plymouth Quick Space Warehouse & Distribution
301 S. LIBERTY ST. PLYMOUTH (219) 941-2372
Emeric Szalay, CEO of resin broker Northern Polymers Inc., (NPI) announced that as of May 1, his Plymouth based company has purchased the assets of American Poly, a rotational molder manufacturing portable toilets and based in Zeeland, Michigan. American Poly, a customer of NPI, closed still owing NPI for rotomolding polyethylene powder purchased last year. Even though it is very unusual for a resin broker to buy a molder, the potential of this opportunity could not be ignored. Adding the American Poly business, which sold about 5,000 portable toilets last year, will boost NPI's annual sales from its current $3 to $5 million. NPI sold the Michigan plant and its two rotomolding machines while retaining the firm's molds, tools, inventory and customers list, renaming the business American Poly-Rest.

A Big Brother or Big Sister relationship provides the Little with an increased sense of belonging, and often leads to enhanced communication skills and improved performance at home, at school and in the community.
