 July 1997Plymouth Banner Project Decorate and Beautify Plymouth, Indiana The Public Relations/Tourism Committee of the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the City of Plymouth is facilitating our community's request to decorate our city, like other cities have, with banners. Sponsorship is open to businesses and individuals of the City of Plymouth, Indiana. Decorative banners add a flourish to the signature of a community. They create an ambiance of quality and the statement of a progressive caring population. They give the residents even more pride in their city and create a very positive impression on visitors. This particular banner project has some interesting added features. The company chosen to supply the banners is the same one that produced the banners for the Olympics and, closer to home, the banners in Culver. To preserve the life of the banners, a special cabinet will be created for storage from season to season and maintained by the City. And to make these banners unique to Plymouth, Company sponsorships or individuals' names will be printed on both sides of these banners by Yoders Sports, Inc. A final added bonus is a location map by which sponsors may make a location choice for their banners to be seen. There is a package of five banners. The four seasonal banners will be maintained by the City. The fifth banner will be designed to celebrate the City of Plymouth, Indiana's 125th Birthday. (See companion article) All five banners will be printed with the particular sponsor name for that package of five. The Birthday Banner will become the personal property of the sponsor at the end of the birthday celebration 1998 year. This complete package includes the bracket (that the City will install), the Summer, Spring, Winter, Fall and Birthday Celebration Banners. The sponsor's name printed on each of the five banners, location selection, and maintenance by the City, for a sponsorship fee of $310. There will only be 26 locations available. Payment is due by Tuesday, July 15, 1997.
