Thieling Co., a local Plymouth CPA firm, has recently successfully completed the peer review of its audit and accounting practice. Members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants are required to have such a review every three years. For the fourth consecutive time, the firm received an unmodified report with no letter of comments. This is the highest possible level of achievement, with only approximately 5%- 10% of all firms receiving a report with no formal recommendations for improvement. In addition to performing auditing, accounting, tax and management services for its business and individual clients, Thieling Co. also performs peer reviews of other CPA firms throughout the state. It has performed over 100 of such reviews over the last several years.
