NewsMonth Inserts
We want to assist in bringing customers to your business. One of the benefits of your membership with the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce is to be able to get your business recognized by the use of inserts in the Chamber's monthly newsletter - NewsMonth.
Inserts are not to be advertisements. We do have members who pay to advertise in the newsletter. The nature of your insert can be about Business After Hours, Grand Openings, Special Events, etc. Since the use of inserts for the NewsMonth is free to our members, they may NOT be commercial in nature. An insert is to help welcome customers into your business and to inform customers about your business. Not-for-Profit members may use inserts that are designed to help them in their community assistance efforts. We do retain final approval on materials that are in the NewsMonth. We ask that you have the content of your insert pre-approved by us before you go to the expense of having them made.
We do offer an area on our website where our members may post coupons (commercial advertisement). There is no charge to our members to have coupons posted online. See our front page and click COUPONS on the top gray bar too see the coupons that are online at this time. Thank you.
Post Office Requirements:
The post office requires that EACH PIECE of bulk mail be IDENTICALLY in shape and weight.
To Be Able To Use Your Inserts and Meet Post Office Requirements:
You need to bring us 500 identical sheets of paper, same color, same weight, and exactly the same dimensions.
-We would prefer the insert be ONE HALF SHEET. This would measure 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. Please do not trim your paper to fit your text. Have your text fit on the 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch piece of paper. If your inserts are less than these dimensions, there is no guarantee that they will survive the mail delivery process - they may slip out.
-If you need to use full 8 1/2 x11 inch sheets, please use 20 weight paper. If you do use full sheets, please bring the sheets folded in half to measure 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. (we suggest that you fold with the print on the outside & showing your message as soon as the news letter is opened).
To bring attention to an event, a business anniversary celebration, a free seminar, and especially business open houses or Chamber After Hours invitations, please understand that you are best served to have these inserts ready for the NewsMonth that precedes the month of the event. We do our best to get the NewsMonth out in a timely manner.
Please call ahead and let us know that you wish to submit an insert. Then email, fax or drop a copy of your intended insert (words and graphics) at the Chamber office. We normally need your 500 inserts by the fourth Monday of the month or we will give you a due-by date.
Please call if you have any questions. Thank you.
