The Bookworm, Inc. Thanks for a good first year! The Bookworm, Inc., located at 2516 N. Oak Road, Pilgrim Place Shopping Center in Plymouth, recently celebrated their 1st anniversary. The goal of the Bookworm is to continue to grow and to offer Marshall and the surrounding counties a good selection of books from "best sellers", business, inspirational, antiques, home improvement, gardening, fiction and non fiction, biographies, history, reference, cooking, diet & health, gift books and kids books. They are in the process of expanding the kids section to keep up with the demands. Stop in and be pleasantly surprised. Kay and Dee always try to offer friendly and courteous service.
Plymouth Club Fitness, located at 203 N. Michigan Street, has announced a new beginning exercise class for both men and women. These classes meet on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. and focus on stretching, toning, muscle strengthening and cardio-vascular fitness. People are welcome to join at any time. Next to New Shop Ruth and Helen Long, owners of the Next to New Shop, located at 109 N. Michigan Street, would like to announce that on June 1st their consignment shop will have been in operation for 10 years. The store hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pinnacle Bank, located at 1001 N. Main Street in Culver, has a new name - Civitas Bank. Civitas, pronounced siv'-i-tahs, is Latin for "of the people." Civitas reports that this is strictly a name change, without involving a purchase or a merger. For further information call 800-545-7844.

M.C. & City of Plymouth - The joint venture between Marshall County and the City of Plymouth to extend Oakhill Avenue to Olive Trail will start in just a few weeks. The first phase is to start from Olive Trail and move east. Connecting these two roads will entail putting in three bridges. Any questions should be directed to either the County Commissioners, the Mayor's office or the City Engineer, Mike Strang, 936-8557.
