Welcome New Parks Superintendent
The new face around the parks department is Paula Jean Garis. Paula took over responsibilities as our new Superintendent of Parks and Recreation on May 17, 1999.
She is a Purdue University graduate with her BA in Community Recreation. Paula received her Masters from Indiana University, Bloomington in Public Park Administration/Outdoor Education. Her previous job was Special Events Coordinator for the City of South Bend.
Paula and husband, John, and their two sons live on a 20 acre farm near Potato Creek State Park. Paula sees this new position as a great opportunity to continue in her field of education and is looking forward to further developing the great potential of the Plymouth Parks Department.
