Silver Hawks Here April 6th
With another season of baseball right around the corner, the South Bend Silver Hawks will once again team up with the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center to present the 7th Annual St. Joseph's Silver Hawks Day in Plymouth on April 6th.
Lori Price, Executive Vice President for St. Joseph Regional Medical Center-Plymouth, said, Year after year this remains one of the most positive events we have in the community. Providing the students with a constructive role model is essential in lives of these young people. St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center is extremely proud to bring the team to the community and sponsor the day's events.
The Silver Hawks will play an exhibition game against Tri-State University at Bill Nixon Field that begins at 6:00 PM to conclude an afternoon of excitement for the Silver Hawks. During the game, fans will have the opportunity to experience a Fun Zone atmosphere with an accuracy throw game as well as moon-bounce attraction. In addition, fans will be able to eat free hot dogs and drink free soft drinks until supplies are gone.
Here's a brief itinerary of April 6 - St. Joseph's Silver Hawks Day:
· The day begins with Silver Hawks players and front office personnel appearing at local elementary schools from 1:30 PM till the end of the school day.
· The game between the Silver Hawks and Tri-State begins at 6:00 PM with gates opening at approximately 5:30 PM.
· Once the game is complete there will be a fireworks extravaganza at the field.
The South Bend Silver Hawks are the Class-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Their season lasts from April until early September and consists of 140 games, 70 of which are played at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium in downtown South Bend. The home opener for the Silver Hawks is April 8 against the Fort Wayne Wizards at 6:30 PM. |
