Letter from the President
Update from the President of The Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce

On January 5th, Doug Anspach resigned from the Chamber. Doug has done many good things for the Plymouth Community and we thank him.

After Doug's resignation the board met, and, after many meetings, the board decided now was the time to make some changes. The committee has been working diligently to look at the organization and what changes would be most beneficial to our members and the community. We will continue to work in a new direction, and a new vision. Input from Chamber members is welcome; what do you want & need from the Chamber? What can you do as members to help the Chamber? Our revamped Ambassador Committee will be sending out surveys in the near future. Please take the time to respond with any and all suggestions.

The Retail Committee is working to come up with dates & times for activities that will be not only fun but beneficial to our merchants.

The City, PIDCO, PEDC & MC Economic Development are looking at new ideas and directions and the goal of all of us should be "Make The Community The Best It Can Be". The board is looking at every aspect and they are energized and ready to go. We are asking you to jump on board and be an active and supporting member.

Look for more information in our next newsletter letting you know the exact date (sometime in April or May) for our Chamber Annual Dinner which will have more details about our new direction. We are also work- ing on our Annual Chamber Golf Outing. If anyone is interested and would like to volunteer for any of the ac- tivities, just contact Betty Glaub-Gibbs at the Chamber office or any of the board members.

Should you have any questions regarding the Chamber, please feel free to call Betty at the office as she is handling all the day to day operations and will be very happy to answer your questions. The board members have agreed to take calls from members also. Their numbers can be obtained from the Chamber office.

We want to become a very pro-active force in the community and with everyone's help, I am sure this can be done.
