The Marshall County Historical Society's 29th annual dinner meeting is scheduled for Wednesday May 10, 2000 at Christo's Banquet Center in Plymouth. Social hour will start at 6:30 P.M., dinner at 7:00 P.M., with entertainment to follow.
The program for the evening will be presented by Craig Dunn, author of Harvestfields of Death, The Twentieth Indiana Volunteers of Gettysburg, and Iron Men: Iron Will, the Nineteenth Indiana Regiment of the Iron Brigade. Mr. Dunn's program will include Marshall County's involvement in the Civil War. His books will be available for purchase at the dinner.
Mr. Dunn is a native of Kokomo, Indiana and a graduate of Ball State University. He has been a long time collector of Indiana Civil War photographs and paper ephemera. His personal photographic collection exceeds 1,600 Indiana images.
The Marshall County Historical Society will honor the many volunteers that serve the museum. The museum will also unveil their newest set of historical playing cards. The fourth set of cards will be available at a special price only at the annual dinner.
The annual dinner meeting and program is open to the public. Tickets for the dinner are $17.00 and can be obtained by calling the museum at 936-2306 or coming to the museum at 123 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Purchase tickets by May 5.
