Plans for the "4th Annual" Marshall County Hot Air Affair Balloon Festival are under way according to Jeff Jones, Event Coordinator. On Father's Day weekend, June 19, 20, and 21st, up to 20 hot air balloons will again "Kick Off Summer" and grace Marshall County skies. The event, designed to entertain and promote Marshall County, is free to the public and takes place in Centennial Park. As a "not for profit corporation", local charities benefit from the proceeds. "Sponsors make this event possible." A great marketing concept, sponsors receive banner advertising (on "their" balloon), pre-media event coverage, balloon rides, and tickets to social events (with their pilot). The event concludes with a Sunday Awards Brunch at Damon's. For further information, contact Jeff Jones at 936-3311.
