MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)
YOU own or manage a grocery store, or a hardware store, or perhaps a paint store. One of your employees comes to you with chemical burns on his hands. You suddenly realize that this employee, who just cleaned up a spill of cleaning liquid, has not been equipped to do what seems to be a simple job. This employee needs to be trained to properly handle chemical products.
Material Safety Data Sheets contain written or printed material concerning a hazardous chemical as prescribed by law. They contain basic information needed to ensure the safety and health of the user at all stages of its manufacture, storage, use, and disposal. Ken Rados with Ferro Corporation will present a review on Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and Hazardous Material Information System (HMIS) on Tuesday, June 9, 1998 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Damon's (located in the Holiday Inn, Plymouth). The information Ken Rados will cover on June 9th will tell you what the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) tells you and what to look for to give you and your employees the knowledge you need to work safely with the chemicals our world has come to rely on. The Plymouth Chamber of Commerce membership is invited to attend this luncheon meeting. Reservations are required. Please call the Chamber at 936-2323. The only cost involved will be your lunch selection.
