
| November 1997 FERRO Corporation Elected to Receive the 1997 State of Indiana Quality Improvement Award On September 8, 1997, Jim Luke, Operations Manager of Ferro Corporation's Plymouth, Indiana manufacturing facility, received notification from Joseph E. Kernan, Indiana Lieutenant Governor, that Ferro Corporation had been elected to receive the 1997 State of Indiana Quality Improvement Award. This award recognizes outstanding leadership and achievement in several quality related areas and was presented formally at ceremonies in Indianapolis on October 27, 1997. Criteria to be considered for this award include achieving ISO Quality Standards, customer satisfaction, teamwork, supplier performance, environmental quality standards, environmental quality standards, safety and health quality standards, and corporate citizenship. According to Jim Luke, "Ferro Corporation is honored to receive this award" additionally, "The team at Ferro Plymouth will not take this award lightly, our team fully understands that quality improvement is a never ending challenge and complacency is unacceptable." |
