Easterday Construction is pleased to be underway on an addition and renovation project at Country Auto Center, 2705 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. The addition is a Butler pre-engineered metal building which will add a quick lube bay and two bays of enclosed check-in area, a new service counter and updated computer systems. The renovations include updates to the Chevrolet Showroom with new windows, walls and entrance configuration.

Quick's Lanes has been Plymouth's bowling alley since 1972. Starting out as a ten lane center, by 1973, Quick's had expanded to 18 lanes. Today's Quick's has expanded the whole concept of the bowling alley and has a variety of services to offer the surrounding communities. The scoring monitors above each of the 18 lanes can be used as advertising space with pictures and text, ads that cycle through and display for 20 seconds intervals. On August 22, 2003, The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. completed a four-day unannounced survey by the Indiana State Department of Health. This survey included a Federal Oversight and Support Survey by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Region V in Chicago. The result was “no deficiencies,” or a perfect score. The survey evaluated all aspects of the agency's care provided in homes, nursing homes and Hospice House, the only Medicare certified hospice inpatient unit in north central Indiana. Hospice is a non-profit, community-based agency providing comfort and support to all people facing the end of life. The annual “Walk for Hospice” will be held on Sunday, October 12 in South Bend, Plymouth and Elkhart concurrently; the walk will occur at Potawatomi, Centennial, and McNaughton parks, respectively. Check-in will begin at 12:00 p.m., and the walk begins at 1:00 p.m. Participants can walk individually, or form teams. Pledges collected will support Hospice's commitment to provide services to all persons, regardless of ability to pay. Registration is required prior to the event, www.centerforhospice.org, or by calling the Hospice offices at the 574 area phone number listed above.
