Purdue University Partners with Indiana Business
You need information that will help you make an important improvement to your business. What do you do to find that information? Where do you start looking? How much time do you have to do the research? If you have access to the internet, Purdue University has a place that will facilitate your search.
ConnectIndiana is a searchable website database, connecting Indiana businesses to Purdue University's faculty expertise and world-class facilities. It is part of Purdue University's efforts to mobilize statewide economic development. This site is sponsored by the Office of Industry Research and Technology Programs, Purdue Research Foundation, West Lafayette, Indiana. The site address is www.purdue.edu/Research/ConnectIndiana/.
The ConnectIndiana website provides a single point of access for Indiana businesses to make connections to Purdue's broad range of resources and partnerships. The website's resource search engine is the key to beginning the search, designed to provide information by using a general keyword search. The search of Purdue's capabilities may be accomplished by either searching the entire database or by the use of specific keyword search in the three resource categories: Business Development and Entrepreneurship Resources for economic development, Technology Resources - access to technical expertise, facilities and centers, and Workforce Development and Training Resources - training expertise. Before starting, check out the Search Engine Tips, located right next to the Reset button. This is a quick and easy education in the sophistication of the site's capabilities.
The Office of Industry Research and Technology Programs (OIRTP), as a unit of the office of the Vice President for Research, serves as a point of contact for faculty and corporations interested in research partnerships. Corporations throughout the region, the nation and the world sponsor Purdue faculty research to meet their needs for advanced information, new technologies, help with company problems and recruitment of highly trained employees. ConnectIndiana will also keep Indiana companies informed of program updates through an online form for free membership with any contact information provided held in confidence and a news page that provides announcements and invitations to special events, workshops and meetings.
