Pilot-News
A Website for the Community

The Pilot-News and its sister weeklies in Bremen, Bourbon, Culver, Knox and Nappanee will soon be launching new websites on the internet as a new community information service. These websites will carry both community news and links to other news and information sites while providing a way for readers and community organizations to interact with their community newspaper and contribute information to the site.

With these new websites, the Pilot-News and sister publications have started down a new path. Computers and the internet are now an accepted way of life - particularly with the younger generation. The websites position the newspapers for future opportunities the internet will provide for both readers and advertisers.

Representatives of the internet service that the newspapers are working with to launch the sites will be in town the week of October 18th to talk with businesses and organizations about what the new websites will offer. The newspapers' staff is currently going through training in the way of electronic newspaper business.

The newspapers look forward to introducing their community websites/electronic newspapers to everyone in the area. Anyone with questions about the news sites is encouraged to call John McClure, Advertising Director, at the Pilot-News office (219) 936-3101.
