Plymouth, IN 46563 1-574-936-2443 Robert Remenih, Principal FACILITIES Jefferson Elementary was completely refurbished in 1986; air conditioning was added in 1992, and five classrooms were added in 2006. Jefferson, a school with character and heart, uses their neighborhood setting as a focal point for educating students, parents and community members alike. ACTIVITIES Students at Jefferson Elementary have many enriching experiences outside the regular classroom norm. Jefferson encourages neighborhood friends and families to be involved. Fall Family Fun Night, Muffins with Moms, and Doughnuts with Dads are a few of the many events that emphasize school/family interaction. ACADEMIC STANDARDS Jefferson maintains a high regard for academic excellence. The Indiana Elementary Principals Association recognized Jefferson with a Hoosier School Award in 1989. Jefferson was also named a C.L.A.S.S. school by the State of Indiana in 1995. Through a strong literature-based curriculum, children not only learn reading, writing, and arithmetic, but also good citizenship, responsibility and social values. |
