Educational Opportunities Plymouth, IN 46563 1-574-936-4072 Michele Riise, Principal FACILITIES Washington's technology enables both students and staff to pursue exciting learning experiences. Telephones in every classroom are available to contact homes, pupils use computer programs starting in kindergarten, and central video system operates throughout the school. A new computer lab, music room, and cafeteria/kitchen were added in 2005. ACTIVITIES Washington's conscientious staff establishes the school as a place where all children are first and none are last. School-wide activities in academic motivation, reading, math and geography are promoted yearly. The U.S. Postal Wee Deliver letter writing program takes place weekly, daily TV news reports are broadcast by the Student Council, and the PTO is actively involved with the staff to maintain school activities. ACADEMIC STANDARDS Selected as one of the top primary schools in Indiana by the Department of Education, Washington was also honored with a Hoosier School Award. |
