Anthology of Uncommon Hoosier History

Brown Bag Lunch and Learn “Anthology of Uncommon Hoosier History: a portfolio of stories assembled from over 200 National Register nominations across Indiana” with Kurt Garner

Join us on May 13th, from noon to 1:00 p.m., and learn about the stories of obscure people and places represented by the structures they left behind. The stories are culled from Garner's work with the National Register of Historic Places covering three-quarters of Indiana's counties and reaching deep into the state's history from its beginnings through the modern preservation movement.

This presentation will be in person. No seat reservations are necessary, seating is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Our Brown Bag Lunch program is a series of informative talks given by local community members and experts on many interesting topics. These free talks are at noon on the second Friday of every month and last about an hour. We encourage our guests to bring their lunch, a friend, or just themselves and settle in for some Marshall County history exploration.
